CRA President's thank you morning tea

On Monday 19 May 2008, the Chequered Ribbon Association (CRA) President, Helen Weldon, hosted a morning tea at Hotel Realm, Barton, ACT, to thank sponsors and supporters.

About 45 people attended the morning tea, including ACT Policing Deputy Chief Police Officer Leanne Close, Assistant Commissioner Paul Jevtovic, newly promoted Superintendent Frank Jamieson and representatives from the CRA Police Officer of the Year sponsors (Kowalski Recruitment, Police Credit Union, Canberra Services Club, and Doma Hotels) and the CRA Charity Ball sponsor (ActewAGL). 

Superintendent Tim Dahlstrom, on behalf of the AFP (ACT Region) Golf Club took the opportunity to present a cheques totalling $8 500 to the CRA, being proceeds from the Charity Golf Day held on 10 April 2008.

Wayne Snell from the AFP Specialist and International Training at Barton College also presented a cheque for $200 to the CRA, from fundraising by that team. Further fundraising by the College is being organised.
